They grow so fast....

Remember when I said you could re-grow your green onions? Well I wasn't kidding - just look at mine now!




They looked like this just a couple of weeks ago



I told the boy that with the exception of him, this is the most successful I've ever been at growing something!

    I've done this several times and it's so much fun. I've also planted them in the dirt once.
    Great money saving trick.

    I saw this tip on Food Network too, and I love it! I discovered that when you change the water you really need to rinse your bulbs off though or they get mucky. (I have hard water - dunno if that makes a difference.)

    Also, I found you via Frugal Creativity, and I'm so glad I did! This blog is SO up my alley.

    I have the original black thumb, so this has been a thrilling discovery!

    And yep - I got this tip from the Next Food Network Star and am astounded it's not more well-known.

    And yep, the water can get a little slimy - good idea to rinse and replace every so often.
